Q: How many people can we have on our charter?
A: We have a 6 person max on all offshore trips, a 4 person max on all family fishing trips, a 2 person max on all fly/light tackle instructional trips, and a 6 person max on all sight seeing adventures.
Q: What do I need to bring with me?
A: We provide everything you need to have a successful day on the water. Including but not limited to the rods, reels, bait and tackle, as well as your fishing license. If you would like to bring your own fishing equipment, please let us know ahead of time so that we can plan for that as space is limited. We have plenty of storage and ice. Please do not bring extra coolers. Also, don’t forget your camera, you may need it!
Q: Are credit cards accepted?
A: Yes, all major credit cards are accepted but there will be a 4.5% non-refundable fee attached to your charter.
Q: Is a deposit required?
A: Yes, a $200 deposit is required upon booking your adventure with us. The remaining amount of your charter is due upon arrival at the dock. This deposit is non-refundable unless your captain instructs otherwise. It is solely up to the Captain’s discretion
Q: Do we need a fishing license
A: No, Fish Happens Outdoors carries a charter license that covers you and your family for the day.
Q: Can you guarantee that we will catch fish?
A: That is a loaded question. Unfortunately no. Fish aren’t always the most cooperative species, but we will guarantee that our Captains will do everything possible to ensure you the best chance possible to catch and land your fish. Now that being said, we are very conservation minded and we release almost everything we catch. Only keeping a small amount of fish to eat that night. We pride ourselves on not being one of those captain’s that has to bring in a cooler full of fish and slam them on the dock for the world to see. We want to be able to release these fish healthy and full of life so that we can come back and catch them another day, thus leaving the population healthy for the future generations.
Q: Do you clean fish?
A: Yes, your captain will clean and bag your catch at the end of the day. ***Please note: If you do not intend to keep any fish, please tell us early in the day so that we can give all our caught fish a clean and healthy release. This way we can ensure a healthy population for our children and grand children to enjoy.
Q: What do we do in case of bad weather?
A: We do our very best to always keep a close eye on the weather. We will inform you if the day looks to have adverse conditions. We will not put you in a dangerous situation that could result in injury. If weather turns bad while we’re fishing we will call our trip and some of the day’s rate can be refunded.
